Apple Search Ads Auction Insights by Keyword

Available only for the Marketing membership.

Auction Insights in ASO.dev shows how Apple Search Ads placements are being bought right now for a specific search query.

This is not Share of Voice and not a report about visibility share over a period. Auction Insights is a one-time snapshot of the current state: which apps hold ad positions for the selected keyword during a specific moment.

Choose a keyword and country, and ASO.dev generates a report for the current ad results. You can see which apps are participating in the auction and the order in which they hold ad placements.

This report is useful when you need to quickly understand who is buying a query right now, who appears above or below you, and how competitive the ad results are for that keyword.

Auction Insights is created as a one-time task. You can see the full list of one-time operations in Tasks.

When the task is complete, ASO.dev sends a push notification. The result is then available in Notifications as a report with app cards ordered by current auction buyout positions.

SOV answers the question: what share of ad visibility does an app receive over time?

Auction Insights answers a different question: who is in the ad results for a query right now, and in what order?

That means the report does not build a trend, calculate share of voice, or replace SOV monitoring. It is designed for a point-in-time check of a specific keyword.

  • check the order of ad positions for an important query
  • see which competitors are currently buying a keyword
  • evaluate the ad results before changing bids or creatives
  • capture the auction state at a specific moment

The report is generated once for the selected keyword at the current moment.
